Meet your sims!

So!  I've had the Sims 4 for a while now and was getting pretty bored of the normal gameplay so I decided to play one of the challenges set on the Sims fans websites.  I thought the Asylum challenge looked fun and thought who better than to share a virtual mental asylum with than my good old Le Cafe buddies?  

Unfortunately I can only have a maximum of 8 sims so only 7 of you made the cut nothing personal to those not in this, I promise but I can always do another one in future!  One of the main rules of the challenge is that I can only control my own sim so the rest of you are left to your own devices.  You are free to set the asylum on fire, kill yourself, fall in love, fall out of love, make an enemy, get married....the list goes on and on!  I won't bore you will the full rules of the challenge but full info is >here< if you are by the off chance interested.  I haven't abided by the rules 100% though because when do I ever? lol.  So...I thought I'd share some gameplay screenshots as I go along.  I hope none of you find it creepy or weird, it's just for fun

Sooo, let's meet your sims!

Armine Ocampo (all surnames have been randomised except for two)

Aspiration: To be a bestselling author
Personality traits: Insane, Good, Ambitious

I stuck with a sort of summery look for this sim because I'm sure Armine is from LA or somewhere hot?  Some of her outfits are generally normal but some are a bit whacky, because she is insane after all, but this applies to everyone lol.

Colonel Roosevelt

Aspiration: To be fabulously wealthy
Personality traits: Insane, Foodie (surprise surprise ), Romantic

I definitely think I've made CR waaaay cooler than he is in real life but wait until you see some of his crazier outfits lol.

Kazoo Barbosa

Aspiration: Friend of the world
Personality traits: Insane, Bro (meaning she is friendly with everyone), Creative

This was one of the harder ones for me because I don't know anything personal about Kazoo that could have helped me mould her sim so I just went with how I imagine her in my mind. and I see Kazoo already has her eye on someone lol.

Lunar Aranda (I'm not sure why I didn't just use Eclipse as a surname but there we have it)

Aspiration: Big happy family
Personality traits: Insane, Romantic, Outgoing

I've seen a few photos of Lunar so this was probably the easiest looks wise.  Here we see Lunar is keeping a close eye on Night Eyes, lol.

Maverick Kadukin

Aspiration: To be fabulously wealthy (in competition with CR?!)
Personality traits: Insane, Non-committal, Genius

Maverick is looking hot I tried my best to make his clothing theme match the Indian flag (colour wise) lol but some of his other outfits are a little "out there"

Night Eyes

Aspiration: To meet her soul mate
Personality traits: Insane, Clumsy, Cheerful

I've never seen a proper photo of NE however as with Maverick I tried to make the overall look match that of the Welsh flag lol even to the point where I have given you green hair wait until you see mine though...!

Rodan Miles

Aspiration: To be a nerd brain
Personality traits: Insane, Good, Genius

As with Kazoo, I have zero personal information about Rodan to help mould his sim but I have went with a purple theme due to his love of the purple plates and yes, Rodan does have purple eyebrows

Posay Millard (this is the only sim I can control)

Aspiration: To be the chief of mischief
Personality traits: Insane, Glutton, Goofball

As you can see, I've stuck to my Scottish roots and went all out with the blue and white theme to match the St Andrew's flag as much as possible.  Sadly there isn't any tartan clothing in this game!!

And here is a nice little photo of us all together you will notice we are all wearing white bunny slippers with our everyday casual wear.  Why?  Because we're all insane



I've been playing the game on and off for a few days now.  It took me a while to get all the sims made and find an asylum so I've been taking screenshots as I go along and will keep the thread updated with what everyone is getting up to I hope you all like your sims and I especially hope I haven't offended anyone with my "creativity" lol.

Hahahahahahahahaha this is awesome. I don't even have other words for it. You're right... we're all insane. This is hilarious. Now can you put us into a "reality" drama? You've opened the channels for some ridiculously good ideas. We can have our own world and turn each thread into a dramatic scene. We can each 'jump' in like when we do with posting. This was excellent, posay.

Lunar and Armine are on point. Posay's face, body, eyes, and hairstyle is just like I imagine her, except with black hair.

Maverick looks exactly like my cousin....doesn't bring back good memories lol. Seriously, there's no way I can compete with Mav in making money. I'm still learning from him lol. In real life, I always pictured Maverick looking like a blow up doll of Aziz Ansari that says in a high pitched voice "Greetings!" or "Nature abhors a vacuum" or "Fuck it! I'm awesome!" or "Fuck outta here with that shit!" depending on where you touch him. If you can find the sweet spot, this is what you will hear:



As for my Sim...romantic personality? Fuck outta here with that shit! The moody, in his own world look is on point. Just ditch the glasses, make his skin darker, give him more facial hair, lose the cap, give him a big whale belly full of pasta, an oversized blue button down, and longer, unkempt hair. And that's pretty much me lol

lol. That was very creative, Posay. You reminded me of a Game we already have here on the forum. It's a Role-Playing Game; I hope you know what this is because I personally have no idea. There is an article on Wikipedia, however. All I know is that you create a character and start some sort of creative story with other players here. So we activated this game today, made you the "Game Master," and even created your own Character Sheet as an example (all fields you can modify). This you'll now find in your Profile. We even called it Sims Character Sheet—your parallel character on the forum. You may also add more fields and information than (or cancel any of) those we put as a start.  

One more thing: this game probably requires rolling dice or something like that. We have this option as well, but we didn't set any dice yet. Anyway, I hope you know what this is or at least read the article on Wikipedia. If interested, please let me know; otherwise I'll deactivate it again next week or so.

Omg I used to love The Sims as a teen. (Can you imagine Selina as a teen? yeah, I know -- interestingly, she was much more serious then than she is now -- apart from the computer game addiction, that is, back in the day it was Sims, Zoo Tycoon, the Harry Potter PC games...)

Awesome idea!  I was sure I saw something like this in the side of my profile yesterday but it disappeared.  I am interested for sure but I'm confused when you say Role-plying game .... you mean role-playing game, right?  Just want to be sure lol.

Yeah Selina, it is a really fun game.  I only played up to Sims 2 myself and like you building homes was my favourite.  My laptop was quite old though and all it could handle was me building houses so normal game play was never possible without it crashing.  

Selina I just looked at your character sheet and wow, LOVE IT!!  If I were to create your sim it would not have looked like that at all but I love it lol.  I'm certain you may stir up some trouble in the asylum for sure!  

I'll post the first in game screenshots later this evening.  It has already been quite an eventful game, with Lunar and Maverick being the present "stars" of the show. ;D

Soooo, here is what has been happening so far.  



First of all, this is what our asylum looks like.  I've minimised the walls so you can get a better view.  You will notice that despite there being 8 of us there are fewer beds and only 1 fridge, 1 cooker, 1 toilet, 1 shower, 1 sink and not a whole lot of stuff to aid in the mental stimulation of the sims.  This is supposed to make the challenge more fun but in "reality" it creates lots of tension


Here we see the Colonel suggesting some new post ideas for Le Cafe website but as you can see, they aren't going down well with Maverick who has rather rudely fallen asleep even Kazoo had to walk away, they were that awful!


Colonel just ain't feelin' it....


Meanwhile, I eat a grilled cheese sandwhich dressed as a hot dog.  Just a normal night for me to be honest.


Someone broke the fridge but it's Posay to the rescue!


Here we can see Lunar caught in the act of attempting arson but it's okay because Armine just happens to be on stand by in her swimming costume with a fire extinguisher


It's not until after Armine puts the fire out that we all decide to run outdoors to safety.  We really are a crazy lot!


Night Eyes...Welsh or Irish...?


Here we can see Kazoo, Armine and Lunar dancing with a rather oddly dressed Rodan.  In the background, CR logs on to PLoA to check for his daily hate mail.


Poor Maverick...left to his own devices...rather unfortunately begins drowning to death...


As with any impending death, the Grim Reaper makes an appearance...and none of Maverick's "buddies" think of jumping in to save him - Lunar even brought her bowl of macaroni cheese as if it was entertaining to watch.  Nice!


Thankfully though, someone still cares about Maverick...and I begin to plead with the Grim Reaper to give us back Maverick...

....but only time will tell if my charms have worked on the Grim Reaper

Did you set this house in Sedona, Arizona? It looks like it from the red rocks... and it IS the metaphysical capital since it's considered to be an energy vortex. It would be the perfect location

I was watching a kids' show where the "cool" guy decides to see if everyone will follow him even if what he says is ridiculous... he says "...bunny slippers are cool to wear outside and they're now called 'street hops'..." of course everyone starts wearing 'street hops' to school. Now it looks like our entire gang is sporting them.

Sorry for my late response. Alright, since you (and others) are interested we'll take it to the next level. I just have to prepare a good Admin post for all to know what this game really is (of which I personally know nothing lol), so give me/us a few more hours. I don't know what CR looks like but I do know I made him look way cooler than he actually is I had an image in my head of what MA looks like based on someone I came across on Instagram and assumed it was him but it turns out it wasn't. Doesn't matter now anyway, he is now Peter Griffin to me.

Armine, it's actually just a pre-made world within the game called Oasis Springs so I have noooo idea. According to a fan website it's meant to resemble Phoenix, Arizona but who knows
