Greetings!
I'll be honest.
I am surprised. Looks like I am the first one here to start a "non-admin" "non-owner" introduction thread, just to say hello!
So hello to all of you!
I was actually so done with LoA forums dude (PowerLoA, to be precise) that I decided not to go there.
A friend of mine sent me a link to this forum. She said it was created by Zorba (pardon my little knowledge about owner of this forum) so I decided to give it a go. It can't be worse than "fruity", right?
Anyway! The caption here stuck with me - "Rediscover the lost art of conversation". Loved it.
I'd be pleased to hang around you folks.
-Maverick, from PLoA.

Re: Greetings!

What a beautiful surprise! Been waiting for you, my thorny friend. And you never failed me by the way, Mav. You're a very rare example of how people can disagree, on several levels, still respect and even love each other. But that's because you are true, Maverick. I "saw" your face, behind all masks, all apparent disagreement and noise, and I knew you were true, and you never failed me, my friend. So I'm sincerely glad to have you here with us; welcome aboard and thanks for coming, yet another proof of your authenticity and truthfulness.
On the house, First Cup for Mr. Adi
(First non-managerial thread - Member #10)
Love this name by the way. (If I were to choose only one master or guru or even to follow a "prophet" in the traditional sense of the word, that would be Adi Shankara. This is the only "teacher" who could answer all my questions and, therefore, turn my life upside down! Funny of all names, Indian and non-Indian, you got this one.)

Re: Greetings!
Thank you for such a warm welcome, folks.
The Simplifier : Pardon my unintended ignorance but you're too hard for me to recognize. Based on your name, you do sound like someone who is interested in making this world a better place to live (and this forum a better place to post.)
I would have loved to play the guessing game but I am reluctant to do it with you. Based on the fact that you hail from PowerLoA, I'm not sure if you'll blast out if I get my guesses wrong lol.
People over there take offense in everything haha.
Anyway, the above paragraph just served as a few random musings. I may be able to figure you out once I see a few more posts of yours. Please do not disclose the identity.
It is fun this way haha.
And yes, we're in the same time zone.
I always had this feeling that Silicon Valley is gonna be a place for me.
Although, I am not sure if this is a fact or just my own mental projection about the place.
Regardless of all that, I am loving it here. A lot of people around me who are passionate about Computers and automating things and making human life simpler.
Last night, at a random night out with friends, I ran into the guy who created Uber. I loved to interact with him.
Speaking in terms of LoA, he knew a lot. But not in typical polluted by spirituality way.
His funda was simple - It sounded like this - "Make everything Simpler, EVERYTHING."
Speaking in terms of desire - "I want to make life easier". How? He didn't know. But vibrating enough on that frequency, eventually he did it!
A nice lesson to learn - Be able to express your desires in a simple way.
@Zorba - The charming James Bond, the ladies man!
It's the thorns that protect the beautiful fruity flowers. ;D
First of all, thank you for creating this forum.
I immediately got sold on it the moment I read the statement "Rediscovering the lost art of conversation".
This is something I learned unintentionally from you, especially.
I've read many posts over the internet and a lot more face to face conversations in real life. About many things.
What makes you stand out, in particular, is your unique ability (actually, everyone must have it, but for some reason, we don't) to understand what is being communicated from the other person.
You take to first understand what is being spoken/written and then you respond with what that person is asking for in your style (the one I like to call fruity ;D )
This is something I have a hard time understanding. Often in conversations, people seem to be listening to others but in actuality what they're doing is waiting for their turn to express their own greatness. I am guilty of that too - especially after getting into self development
I started thinking, I am better than the masses.
I am not. I am just a part of the masses who is into self development and nothing more than that. And it should always be like that. Otherwise, it becomes a wall between you and the real world and it only serves to isolate YOU (in a bad way).
I'm sorry, I am all over the place with this post. I have a lot more thing to talk about that I learned from reading your posts but that is the next thing I am studying - To be able to articulate your thoughts correctly. And being generous when it comes to praising others - for some reason it was very hard for me, I don't know why
But when it comes to opening the flood gates of my potty mouth, no one could have matched that generosity haha
But I'm learning.
About Adi -
My real name is Aditya.
Most Americans (to be exact, anyone who doesn't have a good command on the languages that are descendents of Sanskrit) can not say my name correctly.
So I just introduce myself as Adi to them.
Aditya is a Sanskrit name for the Sun.
The word Adi has many meanings depending on the context it is being Used.
In Sanskrit Adi - (Derivative of Aadya) means Ancient.
Depending on the context it can be wise, experienced, old (in a non functional way), etc etc.
But I prefer that Sun definition, because.... just like the sun... I am .... wait for it..... HOT!
I was staying in a hotel in South San Francisco where I got to meet you in a non living form
Right next to my hotel Window, it was something Like this.
Is that you from the picture? That guy does look a "little" fruity. JK
You were very much talked about regarding this on the powerLoA.
Especially by Night.
Which bring me to - Hello there Night Eyes!
Good to see you too.
I am all down for any sort of fun and adventure.
Glad to be here.

Re: Greetings!

lol - Zorba's Pizza! Hahahaha
Well, that was an amazing post, Adi. Thank you. But those few qualities you think you've learned reading my posts are the ones I'm personally trying to improve, man. lol Perhaps that's why? Anyway, I'm just learning too, my friend. Or better say, just trying to open up more and more for the All-Knowing source within. We learn nothing really from the world outside. We only open up inside, and once we do, the "teacher" outside, in whatever form, just appears.
As for "praising others," I believe it's the same. Actually I don't praise anyone. Perhaps that's why you found it "very hard" so far. It's because you view it as an expression of "praise," and you are "true" as I said last time, so for you it's really difficult, because it feels false and hypocrite. But it's more "love" than "praise," Adi. I really don't mean to praise anyone at all. I just love them and simply tell them so. You only open up, again, to the All-Loving source within.
Put another way, as Gandhi once taught something similar, you have to love them. To love them, you have to "know" them. To know them, you have to know "yourself." To know yourself, you have to put the illusory ego aside, temporarily at least, and just open up to the true Self within. This is where Love, every love, comes from. It's only our ego that instantly gets in the way of this Love and prevents its expression—because love and ego can never live together. Either one must kill the other. Our egos allow love only when it's "conditioned;" when it's an "investment" to serve the ego's purposes and increase its profits.
Anyway, please excuse me you just went deep so I had to go deeper. Back to the pizza :D Once a yogi walked into Zorba's Pizza and said, "Make me one with everything." When the yogi got the pizza he gave Zorba a $100 bill. Zorba pocketed the bill. The yogi said, "Don't I get any change?" Zorba, himself a yogi, said, "Change must come from within, my friend." :D
Well, this is just for now, Adi; your post was amazing as I said, and I believe I'll come back to comment on a few more interesting ideas you brought up. I'm supposedly away for a couple of days, as the ladies here at least know, but I had to stay when you arrived, along with our beloved Rodan of course; so please excuse me/us everyone for a couple of days. We really need this vacation. (We just added, by the way, a new "code" that shows our avatars in the Recent Topics list. Looks nice, doesn't it? We also designed a new set of buttons instead of the ugly ones we previously had by default. Adjusted the text size, again, along with a few other details. Just celebrating the arrival of Rodan and Adi, needless to say. :) You guys are the true builders here; we're just the tools.)
Please write as much as you please, my friend; I'm really enjoying this new Adi version. :D (Frankly I hardly believe this is the same old Mav. Not that you are now more beautiful; you are as beautiful as ever. Now you're just revealing this beauty like never before and now, intentionally or unintentionally, you're finally allowing your Sun to rise and shine.)
♥ Beautiful quote, as usual, Night. :)
♥ And, testing Adi's visual memory: Simplifier, on PLOA, was a smiling lady in blue. Bright blue--almost cyan like this. Easy now? :D
Take care Adi and everyone and see you soon.

As I always say Forum = People. A forum is nothing without its people. And only one member can change the entire history (future) of a forum. So imagine how far it can go when ours here are not just members, but as intelligent, elegant, graceful, generous, humble, friendly, warm, creative, witty and sprightly as you guys.
I'm out for some time; just saying hi to all and welcome to our new members.

* Funny this is Adi's thread. Obviously he put so much love and positive energy in it that newcomers seem to be drawn to say a word here. (And who knows; perhaps he's even turning fruity or something?)
* Also special thanks to Kazoo. She's the first here to call me Z., also to thank "those who took that initiative" without naming anyone. It seems she's taking over, and this is exactly the spirit. The Perfect Attitude I'd say. So you got it, Kazoo; thank you my dearest friend. (Cute avatar by the way)
* Thanks Blossomtea for the compliment. Glad I can meet with all of you here guys. Take care and see you soon.
