ok so i know we have a few topics that discuss beliefs on health etc

but i would like some helpful advice on Asthma and how to use some solid techniques to help my daughter

i really do believe in the whole 'talking to your body' aspect i have found it has worked for me in the past with my own ailments, i have discussed this with her, but with her age i'm not overly sure if she would take it seriously.

i also enjoy things like healing energies and visualising them

so if anyone has any tips or techniques that would help that would be fab.

ok so as an update from after i posted this

i did some visualisation

i pictured this beautiful white healing energy flowing around her torso, i focused it on the lung area and visualised it lovingly healing and calming the asthma, and reminded herself that her body knew what to do to look after itself and how to heal, and that her airways were just fine and she was abundant with health

so yeah, by the time we took her to the docs, there was no wheeze on her chest at all, he said it was really clear, he gave her some meds to stop any inflammation because she has the dreaded virus (guess that belief is still to hard lol )

so yeah, something definitely worked, and i think its an indication of where i am with my belief systems... somethings changed because before i would have probably panicked and made it all worse lol

The good news, Night Eyes, is you believe in the visualizing the body and sending healing energies to it.  The question is, would she believe it?  If she's young enough to be under your care, and, not a teenager yet, ( not too rebellious ) your belief should cover.

In my opinion, she wouldn't really have to, depending on her age.  That day you took her to the doctor after you used visualization of white energy on her, that shows you believe it. She didn't need to.  

Advance that believe to healing the virus, not just the wheezing, using the same method.

You've probably done this already, but, I would try to find some healing energy youtube videos on the net, something where she likes the background music, and, ask her if she wouldn't mind playing them, over and over, in her room.  

A person I think ( there are many, many youtubes on healing energies and visualization ) has is " Tom128 " on youtube.

Now, both of the above have the " pink noise " or white noise background, not music.  Not sure if your daughter would like listening to pink noise all day.  The good news, she could have it on, in the background, and still listen to her other music, setting the volume on her music louder than the pink noise healing energy sound.

BTW: If I remember correctly, natural sea salt and water can be used to " heal " asthma. check out this website.  Also click the testimonials link and then click " asthma & allergies " link.

In my opinion, when you combine a physical, tangible " belief "( taking sea salt and water ) with an intangible, ( visualizing energies, frequencies, vibrations, prayer, etc ) you can get a synergistic effect from that.

Be careful with the sea salt /water cure.  What I mean is, don't go overboard on using too much salt. I think the way to do it is put a little bit under your tongue, let it disolve there, then follow with a glass of water. Do this a few times a day, maybe three to five. Don't use too much salt. And, don't use plain table salt, use natural sea salt.

 If you mention using sea salt and water on your daughter to a family doctor he will throw a major fit and say you are insane.  " Salt ?  We get way too much salt in our diet.  You want to give her high blood pressure ? "  yada yada yada.  Doctors freak out on the mention of salt.   Water, too, for that matter.

I remember when my brother was in the hospital, and he wanted something to drink.  I asked the attending nurse if he could get a cold glass of ice water. She said, ' oh, we will get him a Pepsi.  He'd probably rather have an ice cold soda ".  

A nurse, recommending a can of Pepsi for a patient?  I'm not totally against soda, it's just that what he wanted was a nice ice cold glass of water, at the time.

Night Eyes, (you already know this, but ) belief is everything. Whatever you do, do what you feel led to do, and, believe it will work. Listen to your intuition.

Not sure if I'd buy into it, but definitely food for thought from soundofheart.org:

I've personally used some of Louis Hay's affirmations for illness and healing. Some have worked well, others haven't. What helps me the most is finding out which thought-pattern or emotions occurred during the illness (a good indicator of that is how the illness makes you feel about you and your life). Or look at what belief patterns my illness brings out in me. And then I find a way to express those dark emotions through creativity or shadow-boxing on my punching bag. Although some of my problems haven't completely disappeared, they have healed a bit by replacing my dominant thought patterns with more self-empowering thoughts. What I do know for sure is that the more angry and despairing I become about my body, even if the issue was something really small and the rest of my body was good, if I still hated my body the problem would get worse, which once again suggests that the body is part of Mind itself. Separation between mind and body is an illusion. So love the body as it is with self-accepting, self-empowering thoughts. It's not easy, it took me a while (years), but it worked better for me.

Visualizing healing light moving through my body has also worked well for me too.

There was something else that was completely strange and mysterious, I'm not sure if it's a placebo or the real deal, but it got rid of my issue for a short while as I did this. I won't speak of it here since it's a little "inappropriate"....unless you want me to.

Rodan in response to your post, she's almost 14, she does have a good solid belief in Loa and certain things but it doesnt extend much further than the 'universe' and the secret, we did discuss her talking to her lungs and immune system but i think at her age, she found it interesting whilst i was explaining it didnt go further, i tried to place it in terms she understood like.. when you send gratitude to the universe, do the same thing but thank your body instead

and yeah i definitely think my belief has extended to the Asthma not being present, but i was aware at the time of a lot of talk of viruses and people being unwell with it, so i guess as what has been discussed in another thread happened and the thought/belief was planted.

i will look into some healing energy videos, not quite sure what white and pink noise is though?

Mr President, i wouldnt say she's smothered with love but i would maybe wonder if she bottles her emotions up, she's not a big talker, and well, when you're a teenage girl theres a hell of a lot of emotions going on, i have tried mindfulness with her, but she finds it hysterically funny so it's a bit difficult, but yeah it could possibly be to do with her emotions and some negativity.. they do have such rollercoaster lives these teens!

i think if we are going to follow the road of belief though, now we've created the virus its, the healing , she's improved a lot quicker than she used to when she was younger so i'm pretty happy and confident that this shift in perspective and belief is helping a lot.

This sounds like something you presently believe in, and has worked for you.  

( I thought I read somewhere in here you are interested in crystals, can't find that reference now, but, that would be a good physical, tangible " belief " to use with your healing energy and visualization techniques. )

In reference to the healing frequency videos I linked to, Tom128 seems to have a pretty good selection on those.  
He still hasn't made one for something I'd like to use for my eyes.  I'm hoping he will make one for " healing eyes/eyesight ', as I have had good results with some of his other videos.

I did find a couple from other users, there, though, today, going to give them a go.

I wonder if it is necessary for someone to believe it in order to get better if you send healing light. I usually send healing light to people without them knowing it. I usually hear afterwards that they feel better. So your daughter might not have to believe it in order for it to work. I have good experiences with it. I only do it now or then. I think it's more important for you to believe it than for her to receive it.

I also use chrystals/ stones but I use them for my state of mind. I do believe they have a calming and healing effect.

Have you by any chance tried homeopathy or accupuncture? I had insomnia for quite some time and I have tried everything. Accupunture didnt quite work for me, but it might work for others. Homeopathic medicine did started to work for me over time. Not sure if they are really working, or if they are working because I trust them too. I do know that when I stop I am up all night again. Maybe something to look into as well. Just as well as looking into food. There is a lot of stuff to find on food and diseases. Even for troubled sleepers like me it's important to adjust the diet.
This might not be all related to visualising and techniques, but I see the body as a whole packaged deal. There are many ways to get your body/ mind into balance So it's might be a whole combination of food, sounds, smells (aeromatherapy) , and a strong mind that will get her better. I hope it will work.

Rodan the advice you gave was fab so dont worry, i was asking whilst being open to new things, so your words were really helpful

and yeah i do like crystals i use them a lot and i find them and healing energy something i am able to believe in strongly


little miss, i think at her age and because she's aware of Loa, her beliefs do play a part these days as she is forming her own set, but i think mine still have a good influence maybe?

i havent looked into homeopathy or acupuncture, thanks for that as its not something i would have thought of before now, so i will deffo have a look.

The natural sea salts contain many trace minerals.  Only the rich could afford salt back in the ancient days of Egypt.  It would even be used as money. I know that sounds ridiculous today, as you can buy a pound of plain salt for almost nothing.

There is something about salt that does help the respiratory organs.  

My theory is the trace minerals in the sea salt.  Our bodies do not get many of the trace minerals that were once in the soils.

Anyway, I can understand the salt lamp being beneficial.  Never knew they even made such a thing.

I don't know if you went to that watercure website yet. it can seem a bit, " quacky", at first glance, but, there is a lot of good information there.

I did  the sea salt / water thing a few years ago, it wasn't for asthma, ( can't remember what I did it for, come to think of it )

Crystals:

You could buy your daughter a crystal pendant, as a special gift. Find one that you feel drawn to, for healing. Might be a good idea to let her pick it out. If you both feel drawn to it, better yet.

I don't know if you read the thread about " Tesla purple plates " in the other forum, but, that is what I use, instead of crystals. I wear a pendant, and, I keep the purple plates in my pockets. Always have at least two ( front or back pockets ) most of the day.

Sorry if I seem like I'm in " information overload ". Just bring up several ideas that may help.

well today, we visited Glastonbury.. its a very well known town in the uk, its full of magic and mystery and has a very big history

well honestly... it was a spiritualists paradise.. it had everything.. book shops with all the books you could ever wish to read, on Loa, buddhism, healing powers, meditation, auras.. you name it it was there

there were shops dedicated to crystals,healing sounds, magic, witchcraft,stone age, healing through scent, there was even a shop dedicated to buddhism

it was fantastic, my daughter got a Rose Quartz pendant, not sure if it heals things like Asthma but its a universal love and healing stone so it should give out some really positive energies.

i came back with a book by Thich Nhat Hanh

who would have thought it!

If she loves it, appreciates it, whether a gift or she bought it, it will work for her. It will work for what she believes it will do.

yeah i did read up on it, as i carry it and sleep with some next to me as its a lovely crystal, but i hadnt looked into health benefits before

but she does love it, she chose it herself.

oh thanks for that L&L i know when she's ill, there's certain things she avoids eating like milk and chocolate as they do make the mucous worse, and i have heard before goats milk is better than cows, but generally when she's well she doesnt have a problem with foods triggering it, she has seasonal Asthma so its triggered by damp.

i know a Reiki healer so i'll look into it
