New Brain
I wonder if your brain completely rebuilds itself after a year, what would happen if you held completely different mindset for one year?
For example a mindset with completely new belief system or say believing you look 15 years younger than you really are

I'm always wary with things like these, most of the time they're just full of rubbish lol

Re: New Brain
Probably because we don't actually change our minds. We just think on autopilot and concentrate on the same old. I wonder if you concentrated for a year on tattoo disappearing, would it actually happen?

Re: New Brain
Lol, actually not at all CR, I just brought it as an example, since the picture was about the body renewal. If I was to use it, I'd do it for something like overall wealth consciousness or something along the lines.

Re: New Brain
Just kidding, lunar You'll always be young and beautiful to us.
I think it goes back to what we believe in. I remember reading somewhere that visualization can change the neuroplasticity of the brain. Does that change the structure of the brain as well?
But if all these organs are truly rebuilding themselves, how do we account for diseases? I think the body and its functions are a part of Mind, what goes on in the mind can heal or harm the body.
Like General Patton said: “Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired. When you were younger the mind could make you dance all night, and the body was never tired... You've always got to make the mind take over
and keep going.”
But how we give the Mind that kind of power? I think it works in the same way we let ourselves get lazy. It's not that we don't have the mental focus, it's just that it's dissipated into misdirection and we forget that we used that power to be lazy. Whatever we put our focus on expands, but focus requires direction.

The answer is simle genes do not change during this process..
And about skin ..only outer layer i.e epidermis is changing not deeper layers..and tattoo paricles are too big to be engulfed by cells and hence it remains there..

Re: New Brain
is it actually possible to not think at all though, i mean even if you focus your thoughts and use mindfulness... you're still thinking in some way arent you?

Re: New Brain
ah yes i loved his book the power of now, i think i might go read it again as i took a lot from it the last time, especially when he talked about the 'pain body'
its true the past doesnt have any power over us at all, its gone
