Well I'm very busy myself, in fact I'm almost killing myself to be posting here the way I am. Since I'm not appreciated I think I'll do the same as Night and leave it for a while...at least until some people who are nicer than Phantasm join in.
In the meantime he can play on his own, with as much sex and violence as he pleases.

Re: Sims: Role Playing Game Comments and Discussion
Admittedly, when I was little I wanted to be Batman like the boy next door and I had a lot of spaceship toys and adored Lego... but I was very princessish most of the time... and dolls and fairies were definitely the order of the day.
I used to LOVE these Fairies of the Glen toys...
And Polly Pocket!!
Oh my goodness, the memories
What are your favourite childhood memories Lunar?

My family was really poor, so we never had any fancy toys, so no Polly Pocket and I think I had one tiniest cheapest lego, the most basic one. Most of my favorite memories are about snow castles we built and snow cave system we dug into deep snow, climbing trees, building tree houses, sleeping in the fresh hay in the summer, crying cause we thought Northern lights were ghosts about to attack us lol...
But I remember I did have a Barbie once, after begging my mom for couple years and it was the cheapest one Ibiza Barbie, but I felt like a millionaire when I got it

i loved Barbie! it was literally the only doll i would play with
i remember one christmas i was bought this massive peach pram with a doll... i hated it and had a bit of a tantrum as although i didnt mind certain girly things.. dolls i didnt
so well, the back of our street had a big banking behind it leading up to an industrial estate.... one day i managed to drag the pram up into the tree's and leave it there.... i was happy until i was made to go and rescue it!
i was also bought a girly bike.. all cream with a bell and a basket..... i cried.... i'd asked for a bmx!

Re: Sims: Role Playing Game Comments and Discussion
Aww Lunar your childhood memories sound magical! As an Aussie snow has always been something rare and wonderful to me, so I'd gladly give memories of playing with fairies for memories of snow castles and snow cave systems and Northern Lights...
Barbie was actually one doll I always wanted but came close to never getting. My mum never approved of Barbie dolls, so all my friends had them and I felt left out... but then one Christmas my grandma got me one (well it was actually my parents, but I was told it was my grandma)...I still remember how over the moon I was that night when I unwrapped her...I have pictures of me holding her proudly up to the camera...
It was a Mickey Mouse Barbie, but she looked a bit more tasteful than this:
closest I could find on the net though!!
And then I got another one from a friend when I was a little older, quite a basic one, and I loved her and then of course I cut her hair off one day (I was always a bit of an experimenter...) because I wanted to know what she'd look like with a shoulder length bob.
I didn't like it.
The trouble with dolls is that their hair doesn't grow back.
So of course for a long time I wished and wished I could magically get her hair back to normal, in vain, and then...
My mum bought her some Barbie hair extensions. Yes, such things actually existed!!!
So she ended up with waist-long, luxurious, wavy, scrunchy, beautiful hair.
But that didn't mean I didn't want other Barbies...I loved them so much and my best friend had a ballerina barbie doll with flexible joints...oh I loved that doll...she always let me play with her when I went over to her house.
(of course, I also wanted to be a ballerina, so I especially loved her for that!!)
I also loved Kelly dolls, they were so cute and I was actually allowed to have a couple.
Did anyone play with Sylvanian Families? One day when I have kids I'm totally buying up lots of them...they're so adorable...
And aww Night lol - I thought I was the one who wasn't really that much of a girly girl!!
xx

Re: Sims: Role Playing Game Comments and Discussion
Haha, yes I used to beat up the normal dolls.
My husband has 2 little nieces 3 year old and 6 year old and they have all the gadgets you could imagine, all the ipads and truckloads of fancy toys. I remember last Christmas when we got them a bunch of toys I got them a Barbie each, the mermaid one that changes color when in water and the one with long hair that you can color. Man, I was jelly, wanted to open the boxes and play myself lol
Haha yes I eventually cut my Barbie's hair off too. I think I also gave her a different make up with my school ink pen, which looked more like a prison tattoo.
One of my friends had a ski Barbie and another one the dark skin friend, Christie or what was it. Ohh I so wanted those...
but seriously how gay were the Ken dolls?
But one thing that I MOST MOST wanted and never got (besides a real pony) was Biker Mice from Mars toys.
I was lurking behind the store window for hours every day staring at them. I was probably the biggest fan they ever had lol. In fact, why hasn't this manifested yet? I think my son needs them right now... ehemm

You don't like violence or sex?
When I was a kid, I undressed my cousin's Barbie, undressed my G.I. Joe, spread naked Barbie's legs, and put naked G.I. Joe right on top of her, you know, missionary position. I tried to set up the reverse cowgirl position but I nearly broke Barbie's legs so I had to settle for doggy style and 69. I even got Spiderman in on it, the mask, costume, and webbing gave the threesome some extra kink and I set up the "Spiderman position". Let's just say that G.I. Joe had a good grip on his bazooka, Spiderman used his sticky fingers, and Barbie couldn't stand up properly ever since. My cousin wasn't very thrilled about it, as a matter of fact she screamed at me and ran to her Mom complaining. After all Barbie's hair was very frazzled (and very wet, I don't know how that happened). But I'm sure Barbie enjoyed herself, she was smiling all the time. Who knows what would have happened if I brought my Legos and Darth Vader with me, but that X-Wing Starfighter sure came in handy. Looking back, I probably could have been a very good porn director...

Oh President.
You're even worse than he is!
And I was so excited to see you'd posted here - I thought you were reviving the currently dead-as-a-duck game!!
Come to think of it you and Phanty would obviously get along - though I shudder to think what you might not come up with if you didn't have the gentle female influences of me and Night, so maybe we shouldn't let you be in the game without us
^Renaissance epic poetry - as much sex and violence as Selina can handle (actually there's quite a lot - some of it very graphic, e.g. "He struck the giant’s bone, on his right thigh; and sliced it through like pastry with a knife" - and I'm not including the descriptions of guts and gore)... I think maybe it is partly to do with me having been vegetarian all my life? as Lotus pointed out this creates a different/less violent state of being...different kind of energy and influences personality...

Re: Sims: Role Playing Game Comments and Discussion
I wonder - what would people's ideal game worlds be? We were obviously just making up as we went along because it was freelance - but I'm wondering whether a LOTR world or James Bond world or Harry Potter world or something wouldn't perhaps be more popular and draw in the crowds, so to speak?
If we do LOTR I bags Arwen
I'm guessing PR and Phanty would like a gangster game of course while Lunar and Night and I would enjoy having a quiet tea party, in a world in which Lunar was a powerful multi-billionaire and Night and I of course still had our pets and pointy ears
Obviously we're all in suspense as to what Princess Posay will come up with it is after all her choice

Re: Sims: Role Playing Game Comments and Discussion
hahahahahahahaha pressie!!! you're soooo naughty
my Barbie and Ken often went on dates and it lead to 'something else' but it was never a sordid as your spiderman!
Selina that Renaissance picture reminds me of Persius rescuing Andromeda from the Kraken!
and yes if people would like to join in on a different world perhaps we could get a headcount of who's going to play
i think it would be a shame not to move forward with this game as Lotus clearly put in so much effort to research and set up everything for us

Guys, I haven't forgotten. I'm nearly there to getting my head around this but I'm still in the process of reading everything. It's a lot of information and seriously, the effort that has went into making this game possible, even at it's most "simplest" form, is quite extraordinary. You deserve a big gold star, "Admin" should we just pick up where you guys left off in here?

i dont mind if we start a totally new game when people are ready
or if we do pick up where we left off, should we do it in a new thread, so anyone else thinking of joining has this to read without it getting any longer
it would be good to get like a list of names as to who's playing
im still waiting for Zorba to say he'll play

Kidding, of course. I'm glad someone's come to take charge of this debacle.
