Building Faith Empty Building Faith

Post by President Roosevelt Thu Aug 13, 2015 4:47 pm

I remember Zorba once writing that when we desire something and hate its absence or feel a sense of lack, we create resistance to it by aversion, and this is part of the Law of Polarity.

He recommended faith as the quickest way to overcome this sense of lack and let go of the negative attachment, as well as the Sedona Method to release that emotional hurdle of lack.

So my question is what are ways that you build your faith? How do you overcome this feeling of lack?

My usual way is just to visualize living in the experience of my desire and feeling the great emotions of it consistently. I visualize until I don't feel as much desire to visualize anymore, I make sure the feeling becomes ingrained in me, and then I either work at it if it's a career thing or just read books, exercise, watch movies, listen to music, and make the first moves if it's something else. Usually I'll get good results depending on how believable my goal is to me.

So how do you guys deal with feeling lack? How do you build your faith? How do you make something unbelievable become believable?

good question President

i do sometimes analyze my beliefs and see what the root of the belief is... find where it comes from and work from there, find reasons why its not a healthy belief

i also use the NLP timeline technique sometimes, or the Dickens model

but i find by far the most effective technique for me is the Mirror, when i do this consistently everyday, things start to shift, even if its slowly, theres a noticeable difference in how i think and feel about something I love you goldstar I love you goldstar

Building Faith Empty Re: Building Faith

Meh, building faith, lol.

This is something I've been chatting about with someone on PLoA. We were discussing how you think about what you want, keep your desire as your focus, allow the emotions to follow and if you do that consistently then you will automatically build that faith, because faith comes the more you imagine what you want as being reality. Sounds simple and it's something I'm currently working on. I have noticed results from doing this though but I have this thing where I let my thoughts go back to auto-pilot instead of consciously directing them. It turns out I'm not just lazy physically but also lazy mentally lol. Working on it Razz

My weakness is procrastination. I'll visualize, get into the emotion, but not do it consistently enough. So when the feeling of lack comes back, my mind reverts to auto-pilot. That's where I want to fly away from.

So then what are some ways to help you consciously direct?

Persistence, my friend. Persistence. Repetition. Consistency.

It's really that simple. http://www.thepowerofawareness.org/

It's a great read and it's something many teachers (real ones) have been preaching for decades. Remember, it's your subconscious mind that you need to "plant seeds" in.

This is also another great thread from PLOA by I LOVE RAINBOWS worth reading.

Building Faith Empty Re: Building Faith

I do several things. When I am trying to manifest something and I don't fully believe in it, I say affirmations right before I fall a sleep. So one part of me building faith would be repetition as well. Another part is just take my focus of it for a short while and focus on small things that are easily to manifest. Small proofs help to build faith for the big things. I always try to have fun with the process. My last point is to always feel good, and if I don't try to feel better. Be in a state of joy. The best way I can. It is easier to manifest from that state of mind.

LittleMissSunshine, you got to tell us more about the candles and the full moon. Do you practice any magic or know about alchemy as well?

I only use affirmations in the middle of a visualization or when my mind starts to wander to lack and frustration. Affirmations, if I word it right, can help me get my mind on track. It actually works better for me it it's written in a story.

For some reason, repeating affirmations over and over again makes me feel more frustrated. bounce

But it tends to sink in when I'm in that relaxed "creative" state of mind, like when I'm visualizing and feeling the emotions.

MA is right about persistence, I kind of made this thread hoping that he'd come in and write that because it's important.

I remember as a kid it would take me 7 days or less to manifest things I wanted, which were just toys, specific cartoon episodes, and visiting family members. Good grades? Not quite lol...but I didn't care about that back then.

I remember I wanted a big Star Wars lego set and I wanted it pretty bad. My Mom said I have to wait till Christmas but I knew I could play my charms and get it faster. But how fast? I felt like I was going insane without it, every time I went by the Lego shop I lusted for the damn thing.

So instead of going insane, I decided to make my own set from the Legos I already had in my chest. It was very elaborate and amateur but I had a lot of fun with it, so much fun that I forgot there was any lack. There was no lack, just fun. Within a week, my Mom bought me the actual Lego set I wanted. And I broke it a week later Razz 2

What is it about kids that make them good manifestors? Childlike faith? More easily excited and adventurous? A sense of wonder and fun? They "let go" easily by switching to different topics? More imagination? Less inhibited by fear of what society thinks? Or maybe we're all born with a natural power to manifest but we "slow it down" as we accumulate society's limiting beliefs?

Ah, to be forever young....Cool

Building Faith Empty Re: Building Faith

Mirror technique, along with " I AM" affirmations. "Faith" is believing in something with no proof of it's existence.
MA has a couple of good reference links.

In another thread, you mention " placebo " . I, personally, changed the definition of placebo to fit my beliefs.
When I take on new subject, I " believe " it is true. I take it on faith.

Example: ( please bear with me, for those that are sick of tired of me talking about this ) The Tesla Purple Plates. I use them. They work for me. It may be " Placebo " that makes them work. Doesn't matter. They work. Why? Because I believe they do, based on testimonies, and me personally trying them out.
My conscious and subconscious mind has no problem with this belief.

This would be an example of someone who is reading a review on my experiences with the purple plates, would think they only work for me because of the placebo effect. Why? Because, looking at it rationally, how can a purple piece of aluminum give healing to the body? Rationally, it can't. However, my belief, my faith in the belief of it, causes these plates to work. For me.

Good thread again, Mr. Roosevelt!

President Roosevelt wrote:LittleMissSunshine, you got to tell us more about the candles and the full moon. Do you practice any magic or know about alchemy as well?

I don't practice magic, not conciously at least, because I don't know much about it (nor do I know about alchemy). Although I do know that they way I use those candles is a bit related to magic but I don't do spells or anything.

We are all energy just as well as everything around us is energy. It all started when I wanted to clear the negative energy in my living space. So I got into Fengshui a bit and also cleared my house of all the past energy although that might be related to magic? According to Fengshui there can be a negative energy flow in your livingspace by things that block it. Once I cleared that it felt like a new beginning. Everything felt so much better around me. In Fengshui you can use colors and candles to add positive energy. I have read something about the energy of the moon. Especially when it's full moon. You can feel it. There is more energy, it even causes people to sleep differently at those full moon nights. So I use that energy to give my intention a boost. I use the Fengshui colors to define my intention. Red/pink colors for love, green for wealth. You can burn the candle every night for a month in the Fengshui corner it belongs to, for instance love in your south west corner. However I picked a spot in my house and I always burn all the candles there. I usually burn three candles. I write my wish on a paper and burn it with the candle it belongs to. I place them in a triangle first and once they are all lit, I place them in a row, it's to symbolically open the road towards the desire. Gosh it sounds so vague describing it but I believe in it, maybe that's the key Wink

I don't even have to visualize a lot. I have a very vivid imagination, therefore I don't visualize much or anything, I just let my mind go. I did manifest many things with the candles. Almost everything I wanted and some of the things that aren't there yet just take more time.

I use meditation to control my thoughts. When I first started my mind would be everywhere, I do have the feeling I control it better now.

I think that it's easier for kids because they live in their own fantasy world. That world is enough and everything that manifests in real life is a great bonus. Fantasies can give you the feeling that you have it all. The having it all feeling is great for manifestation.
