Photography Competition

Aww Adi and LMS tie 3-3, however, just to explain a couple things

Photos must be taken within the contest week by the poster to make it fair

I know I haven't taken these pictures this week so it doesn't count Wink but hopefully it will give you a happy spring feel.

Aw I don't see why they shouldn't count.

I copied the "must be from within the week" rule from my local photography competition,
the reason why they have this rule is because they want the competition to be an inspiration for people to go out and shoot, instead of just using cool photos they happen to have to win a competition. Clearly not what LMS was trying to do, she was just spreading the joy as always but we don't want to be too strict either, it's all for fun. So either I need a referee here or you both win and choose the subject together.

Also, in our local competition, you can use multiple photos,  but they need to be posted separately so you can vote under each

But meh, the more the merrier is good too, I prefer to have a thread where creativity flows, so feel free to pick a subject for next week guys and congrats! Beautiful pics from everyone

Yay congrats Adi and LMS! And everyone else too, all photos were lovely.

And posay - living in spiderland does have its compensations.
Also no spiders at the beach that I can think of.......just crabs if you're lucky to find some.

It could be anything that defines awesomeness.
You should also post WHY you think the thing/person/entity in the picture you snapped is awesome. I believe everyone has an eye and sees the world in unique way. We'd like to know more about that eye.

Meet Mopsy, my sons first ever win in a competition, he had to name the bunny, and they must have liked Mopsy!

I think this is awesome because, it was a spur of the moment decision to just enter him when we were grocery shopping, he wasnt overly bothered about it, but the smile on his face when he heard he had won... was pretty Awesome

I have two pictures. One is of an awesome party and the thing I love about the photo is how people are enjoying themselves at parties these days. It's filming instead of experiencing the actual thing

The other photo is the building of the dutch parliament. I always think our architecture is pretty awesome and it the weather cleared up after a whole lot of rain. That is pretty awesome as well

Ohh Night is too kind, but maybe we could keep it as "we tied, but Freya chooses the subject"? Since she wants to give that privilege to me....

I would love next week's theme to be Serenity. So submissions by midnight Saturday the 9th this time.

And yes, I've loved all the photos so far! Keep up the great work everyone. Apart from anything else I think this thread is useful because (at least so far) the subjects have made us think about things that are extremely positive. It's a reminder to look around more at the wonders of life!

Haha LMS you can't even see the band, all the phones are on the way and aww the other photo makes me miss Europe now, they need to invent this teleporting machine faster so I can pop to other continents for dinner

Anyway, hmm not sure if this qualifies as serenity - but here's a couple shots from me. I thought I'd take some serene beach shot but it was so windy yesterday the ocean wasn't looking very serene

Flowers always make me serene. I love flowers, especially cherry blossoms. I usually go out for walk to take pictures of flowers so I made this one the other day. Spring has sprung

I haven't got a serene photo yet (can I put one in if I tied winning the last competition? ) but may add one later if I have time to take it.
