Okay, so here's the embarrassing incident that happened to me yesterday. Not sure I should be stating this publicly but a challenge is a challenge!
[CONTENT REMOVED]
She took further exception when I asked if I could take a photo of us to post on a public forum as part of a truth or dare challenge. So no embarrassing photo I'm afraid

Re: Truth or Dare
Congratulations on completing the dare.
In lieu of the embarrassing photo, the second part of your challenge is to manifest an extra-special success within the next 7 days and come back to write about it.

@lunareclipse - That is an impressive story. And I only meant that you always look beautiful in all your photos and that perhaps it is impossible to take an embarrassing picture of someone like yourself.

Re: Truth or Dare
Hmm. Sounds easy but I want to dig a little deep.
Ok, I found a cool page that seems to be about jewelry but has some interesting insight on animal symbols.
http://foxloft.com/animal-totem-jewelry
I would like to be either a dove or an elephant.
If I was a dove ('cause I think I do this: "letting our true selves out from behind barriers"), I'd live in Paris or New York and fly around to make people smile amid the dirty-ish city.
If I was an elephant ('cause I think I do this: "can teach us to trust our intuition and fully develop our perception, sensitivity, and empathy"), I'd live on some grasslands area in the countryside near the Mediterranean with a few other elephants, and sometimes we'd be taken to the city for fun because people aren't used to seeing elephants on the street there. Or, I'd be in the circus.

Re: Truth or Dare
Oh I love it!! Both animals are beautiful, though I would definitely immediately (before knowing about the symbolisms) associate you with a dove rather than an elephant... you're always very graceful and bring a beautiful positive energy to the forum, in the way doves are also graceful and seem to gleam in the sunshine...
You would definitely make people smile!
Though I've always loved elephants too of course - ever since Babar. They're quite regal.
I don't know how many people on here watched Babar or even know who he is, but... I always loved the character of Celeste, such a cute little feminist when she was younger.
Though I also had a soft spot for the mischievous cousin Arthur, who was always playing pranks. He was adorable...
Always inventing things, too. *happy sigh*
I would be happy for a Truth, too, from whoever wants to play.

Re: Truth or Dare
Part 2: This forum would be as awesome as it is now, with new faces too.
Part 3: On Oprah. I know. That led to the Secret, which branched out into about ten other sources. It was like I was being reminded instead of being introduced.
When I was a kid, my mom didn't let me wear nail polish to school (or ever), so in high school if I ever had polish on (even clear for shine), I'd feel like I was being bad, so deserved things to not work out for me... and so of course on those days I did unusually not well on exams or projects. I had believed "vanity distracts from work" and although there was no logical reason for nail polish to affect my work, it did and it's because I believed it would. That was one example that proved to me LoA was the true law behind everything we experience. A second was that I always believed I was just lucky in school and awards, and I was. I got scholarships to my chosen University when my friend who worked harder than I did didn't... I knew this law back then, just didn't have a name for it until that day on Oprah.

Thanks Selina, that's very sweet of you to say! I remember Babar, but barely. It always reminds me of the store in NYC, "Zabar's".

Can I ask you, Selina, or is that against the rules (I imagine Phantasm is thinking "just do it")
You, like I, are a huge Audrey Hepburn fan. If she were still here and you could ask her three questions while sharing a table at a little sidewalk cafe, what would they be?

Re: Truth or Dare
I confess to being slightly mystified as to what the rules are... though I think I may get beaten up for saying so, the game isn't very formally structured from what I've observed! But I think you're doing what you're supposed to do - I believe we're meant to take turns somehow, answer a question and ask the next person...
I love your story about the way you noticed your beliefs influencing your realities long before you knew about LOA. I'm sort of the same, though I didn't really observe these things much until much later in life (not that I'm old! yet!)... I think only in the last couple of years really, I've noticed strange things happening related to my thoughts and reality, such as having visions that came true, dreams that came true, and just random imaginings that happened.
Unfortunately I'm still not very good at conscious creation! And still governed by fear to a great degree... it's a monster I still need to learn to beat.
----
Oh, Audrey! - Thank you for the beautiful question, Armine!
Well...it's actually difficult, because I've read so much about her I almost feel as I know the answers to a lot of questions already...but...
1) You always talk about the importance of love. What does love mean to you, in all its different varieties?
2) If you had somehow been prevented from being an actress, ballerina, part of the Dutch Resistance, and peace worker...what would you have wanted to do with your life?
and
3) How on earth can I be more like you? How is it possible for someone who is a human being and not an angel to radiate such purity, goodness, beauty, and grace? *happy sigh*
Though in truth, if I actually were to sit opposite her at a Parisian sidewalk cafe, I would probably be so tongue-tied and star-struck I would barely be able to open my mouth!
I have met some of my heroes... I tend to turn bright red and blurt out the truth about how in awe of them I am/how I love their books/etc.!!!!
And this probably really is against the rules but... What would you ask Audrey?

Re: Truth or Dare
Ah, lovely. I think part of the importance of question #2 is that she was certainly a wonderful creator and that she gracefully chose to be involved in the things she was passionate about. I don't think she often thought "I can't".
I'd ask:
Which was your favorite film to be involved in creating?
What are some of your most memorable moments from all the films with which you have been involved?"
*Lunar, I forgot to mention that I admire your sharing your true self with us, through photos and stories. I'd encourage more of us to feel free to do that It's a personal choice, but I think it's fun
