7 Day Manifestation Experiment

To be honest I completely forgot about this one lol.
To the point that I forgot what the deal with this challenge was? Were we supposed to visualize the goals every day or just in the beginning. I didn't even visualize once Rolling Eyes
Well #1 and #3 of my list would be ongoing goals kinda- there has been some progress, but always room for more progress.
#2 I could think of several messages from friends, but I think the ones from my family brought more joy.

I did manifest a couple things by accident today though. Vietnamese Pho noodles lol- I was just thinking I hadn't had them in over a year and later on tonight hubs brought me some, although I never told him about it. Not sure if LOA or telepathy there  Suspect

Yesterday someone shared an article about sleep paralysis on Facebook. I didn't even read it but thought it did happen to me once when I was a teenager. Of course it had to happen again- last night ughhh  Mad Should've knocked on wood  Evil or Very Mad

Developing Supernatural Powers

This is a truly fascinating subject. Smiley

To me, the following is the most incredible supernatural power I've heard of, ever:

The following conversation with Swami Vivekananda (Swamiji) was recorded by his disciple Sharat Chandra Chakravarty in the year 1898.

In it Swamiji highlights the extraordinary fact that on account of his practicing strict Brahmacharya (sexual abstinence in thoughts, words and deeds) his entire life, he developed such tremendous powers of mind, that he could effortlessly commit to memory 10 volumes of the Encyclopaedia Britannica in one single reading alone.
At the time this conversation took place Swami Vivekananda was 35 years old.

A few days ago, a new set of the Encyclopaedia Britannica had been bought for the Math (Belur monastery). Seeing the new shining volumes, the disciple said to Swamiji, “It is almost impossible to read all these books in a single lifetime.” He was unaware that Swamiji had already finished ten volumes and had begun the eleventh.

Swamiji: “What do you say? Ask me anything you like from these ten volumes, and I will answer you all.”

The disciple asked in wonder, “Have you read all these books?”

Swamiji: “Why should I ask you to question me otherwise?”

Being examined, Swamiji not only reproduced the sense, but at places the very language of the difficult topics selected from each volume. The disciple, astonished, put aside the books, saying, “This is not within human power!”

Swamiji: “Do you see, simply by the observance of strict Brahmacharya (vow of celibacy in thought, word and deed) all learning can be mastered in a very short time — one has an unfailing memory of what one hears or knows but once. It is owing to this want of continence that everything is on the brink of ruin in our country.”

Story #2 – Swami Vivekananda’s Unique Manner of Reading Books

The following account has been taken from the book The Life of Swami Vivekananda, Volume 1 (Chapter: Wanderings in the Himalayas). Prior to his journey to America, Swami Vivekananda travelled across the length and breadth of India as a wandering monk. At the time of this story, Swamiji was staying in Meerut with some other direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, one of whom was Swami Akhandananda.

At the Swami’s (Swami Vivekananda’s) bidding Akhandananda used to bring books for him from the local library. Once the Swami asked him to bring the works of Sir John Lubbock. Accordingly Akhandananda brought them, one volume each day.

The Swami would finish a volume in a day and return it the next day, saying that he had read it. The librarian argued with Akhandananda that the Swami had surely returned the volume without reading it, and remarked that the latter was only making a show of reading.

Hearing this, the Swami himself went to the librarian and said, “Sir, I have mastered all those volumes: if you have any doubt, you may put any question to me about them.” The librarian then examined the monk, and by doing so became fully satisfied. Great was his astonishment.

Later Akhandananda asked Swamiji how he could do it. The swami replied, “I never read a book word by word. I read sentence by sentence, sometimes even paragraph by paragraph, in a sort of kaleidoscopic form.”

Truth or Dare

Ah, lovely. I think part of the importance of question #2 is that she was certainly a wonderful creator and that she gracefully chose to be involved in the things she was passionate about. I don't think she often thought "I can't".

I'd ask:
Which was your favorite film to be involved in creating?
What are some of your most memorable moments from all the films with which you have been involved?"

*Lunar, I forgot to mention that I admire your sharing your true self with us, through photos and stories. I'd encourage more of us to feel free to do that cheers It's a personal choice, but I think it's fun Very Happy

Night Eyes wrote:your characters pegged it anyways :p

Only because none of you went to plead with the Grim Reaper. Anyway I'm not leaving it like this. I'm dead but not beaten.

Topics tagged under 2 on Le Cafe Latest?cb=20140304152735

The Grim Reaper is having fun with this guy's soul. There is so much hate there, enough to put him in Hell till the day Hell freezes over. But there is something else as well. Some sort of basic goodness. Valour. Raven is a Night Watchman but his Paravan nature is strong in him still.

Grim can't change that. He can't put a soul like this in Hell. But he can play with it. He can watch it squirm.

GRIM: So why did you betray the Paravans?
RAVEN: I'm not telling you.
GRIM: Death? Was that what you were scared of? Not much point man, I'm here anyway.
RAVEN: (scowling) I was never scared of death. Give me a break.
GRIM: You were scared that your name would be wiped out of the Book of the Blessed and you would be forgotten. You wanted fame at any cost.
RAVEN: You mean infamy.
GRIM: Whatever rocks your carriage.
RAVEN: Well I got infamy alright.
GRIM: (thoughtfully) And yet you're still lacking the thing you want most. I wonder...
RAVEN: What do you wonder.
GRIM: You say you aren't scared of death. You evidently aren't scared of being forgotten. Money, was that it? Were you afraid of losing your riches?
RAVEN: You're pretty dumbass for a grim reaper aren't you. I thought you were supposed to read everything from our souls.
GRIM: Usually, yes. But yours is a funny colour.
RAVEN: Colour?
GRIM: Metaphorical expression. Souls don't have colours any more than light does.
RAVEN: Then you're just an eejit. I see.
GRIM: Eejit?
RAVEN: Irish word. Means "idiot".
GRIM: Oh, very good. Give the man a slow clap everybody...
RAVEN: Have you ever heard of coloured light? You must have failed reaper school. Anyway it was nice talking to you, but I have to go back to my body now.
GRIM: Your body is dead my dearest.
RAVEN: Somebody will save me. Revive me.
GRIM: Not going to happen.
RAVEN: (stubborn) She's coming. I know she's coming.
GRIM: (a glint in his eyesocket) Oh a she. I see. So that's what you were scared of. The most primitive fear in the book.
RAVEN: I don't know what you mean.
GRIM: You were scared of love. Or more precisely, of losing love. You didn't care about dying because you knew that as a Paravan you'd join the White Fleet. You weren't scared of losing your good name because infamy is just as good for you. You didn't care if you were forgotten, or poor. You just didn't want to feel unloved.
RAVEN: Shut it.
GRIM: The most primitive desire we have...love...
RAVEN: I said shut your mouth.
GRIM: I'm starting to really enjoy this....

There is a cawing in the distance. It's Brown. Raven breathes a sigh of relief, or would if he had his body with him.

RAVEN: Well, it's been nice knowing you Brother Grim, but I'm outta here.
GRIM: What do you think -- but that's impossible. Crows can't enter the netherworld.
RAVEN: This one can. I told you she'd come.
GRIM: You're in love with a bird?!
RAVEN: (his soul grinning) Yeah that's right. I was so scared of losing her leuuuve that I betrayed the Paravans. Nice try Grim. Till another time.
GRIM: Not so fast. Your bird may have flummoxed me for a moment but there's still nothing she can do.
RAVEN: Oh yes there is.
GRIM: (his mind racing) But that would mean further disgrace...you wouldn't...
RAVEN: Better than being stuck with you for all eternity.
GRIM: NO!!!!!

But Brown's already swooped to tear Raven's soul from Grim's hands. Grim is speechless and momentarily powerless. She's going to use the Undead Magic, the darkest curse of them all. He watches as she gobbles up Raven's soul.

And then he comes to, just in time to lunge a Stricking Curse at the bird. He can't stop them escaping, but at least he can control what becomes of them.

6 or under: Grim manifests Stricking Change #1 in the bird and her man, tying them together in one body.
7 or above: Grim manifests Stricking Change #2 in Raven, meaning he won't be able to reenter his old body and will be a powerless clod of dust in Brown's beak until she finds a new body fo him

Either way, Raven will be Night Watchman no more. He is Undead now, and that, reflects Grim, is worth something.
