Re: Greetings!

Back to Adi. Read your post again and it was really amazing. Exceptionally open, spontaneous, sincere and honest. Thank you, my friend. Two ideas I still want to comment on. This is only one of them today:
Very true. Actually the first problem to be addressed in any "communication skills" program. We just don't "listen." Not necessarily because we're impatient to express our "greatness" though. Many are impatient to express rather their pains and troubles, directly or indirectly. More are seeking your approval and validation. And some just want your forgiveness. Actually "love," in one of its deepest and truest definitions, "is the heart's immortal thirst to be completely known and all forgiven." (Henry van Dyke).
Even seeking to express our "greatness," we only reveal how much weakness and pain we're hiding inside. It's either a superiority complex, masking our sense of inadequacy and inferiority, or a narcissistic defense, hiding deep feelings of shame and guilt. That's why the more we really "understand" people, the human nature in general, the more we'll be able to love and forgive them, let alone help them overcome their inner, secret ordeals and agonies. It'd still be hard to do so, however, if we were in pain ourselves, suffering silently—and just seeking someone who'd "listen."
Anyway just my two cents. Will be back later.
Mara and Roosevelt, hopefully you'll read this. Just to say Thank You guys, you really made my day. An awesome video by His Excellency and then a whole bouquet of posts later on by our beautiful pixie. (Please excuse me I just wrote too many posts on these boards, so till you get even I'll be a bit thrifty and economical with my posts. But you'll catch up soon, I know. lol)

Re: Greetings!
most people hav some sort of listening blocks when having conversations and dont even realise they have them, theres actually quite a few of them that hinder a conversation so a person doesnt really get listened to, here are some
Advice giving, placating, de-railing, identifying, daydreaming, judging, filtering, rehearsing, mind reading and comparing.. there's a few more but these are the ones i notice the most during conversations now i'm aware of them

Re: Greetings!

You were just "knighted," congrats Lady Mara. Sorry I missed that last time. Also congrats, Sir Rodan. I believe this is how your "accolade" looked like guys, with Her Majesty the patron goddess of Le Cafe:
In other words, and for all friends here, our members are at least "knights." Not just high above all petty and pitiful details, truly rich within, confident and powerful; but they also exemplify all qualities and principles of chivalry: "courage, honor, loyalty, generosity, courtesy, gallantry toward women, and readiness to help the weak."
(But, guys, don't get me wrong, because after all it's just a dream here, a movie we're making together, and all is illusory in the end. So whatever YOU prefer. I said Knights, Ladies, Barons and Duchesses. But if you together chose a totally different (even opposite) set of ranks (and even of values)—for example: Dealers, Burglars, Vandals, Thugs, Muggers, Arsonists, etc... I swear I'd ask our Admin to apply it right away lol. So don't get me wrong; we're just having fun here and playing yet another game.)

Re: Greetings!
Hey guys!
I see this thread hasn't been active since June, but I still want to greet all of you..I hope there are still active people here!
In case someone remembers, I'm Soleil from The Power Law of Attraction Forum...
I haven't been active there for several months, totally stopped lighting me up , but then I was happy to discover this new born place that gives hope LOL...
Ever since I stopped writing in PLA forum, I started writing on my own site:
lilahum.me
I write about stuff related to LOA and Spirituality, among other topics, so you're welcome to come and have a look!
This is it for the beginning,
Heart,
Ena

Re: Greetings!
Thankyou Night Eyes. I hope you served mine black!
I look forward to participating in some serious discussions on this lovely forum as soon as I have more time. Also looking forward to more RPG, probably once we have a gamemaster to sort us out so that we're not squabbling lol.
