The Mirror Technique
I was just wondering how many of you have heard of, or use this technique.. I remember it being discussed on the PLOA forum and i have used it on a regular basis ever since... i do forget on some days, but i have found this is one of the best techniques for me, to get into a good mindset and raise my positivity.. especially with health or self esteem issues.
Don't get me wrong I find with more material manifestations i do seem to do better on the days i use this technique than days i forget, i wonder if that has something to do with this technique raises my confidence and my belief in myself, there's a lot of power in giving yourself a 'Pep Talk'

Thanks for reminding me Night Eyes - I've used this technique a few times and it really does enforce the idea of self-belief and confidence, making you sort of expect better things to happen or things to go right. Only problem is I forget most mornings and rush out the door to work! I should take more time to try this out again and see what happens

Hi ladies! Sometimes just doing it the first time regarding a certain topic or subject really shows how comfortable or uncomfortable we are with taking on that self concept. Sometimes it's surprising how unnatural it feels which is a great indicator that practicing it more is all we need.
I usually do affirmations without a mirror, but hey maybe I should use a mirror more often right now! Thanks Night for the reminder of how to "face" your self.

Pixie.. yes i forget in the mornings sometimes aswell, but i more often than not use the technique before going to bed, i have a little abundance mantra where i tell myself i'm abundant with Love, Health, Happiness and Wealth... i think it speaks deeper than a lot of other techniques
Armine i often believe that if you can face yourself, you can face anyone.. we can be our own worst enemies sometimes, so if we can practice the art of loving ourselves and accepting ourselves warts and all, the mirror tends to reflect back a lot of love and beauty

Ah this is a nice topic. I have tried the mirror technique for a while last year, but saying affirmations right before I fall a sleep work better for me. I felt a bit strange doing it. I would either get too serious, stared too deep into my own eyes and freak the hell out of myself, or I would be too much of a clown and started laughing. I am however curious how it works for others.

Yeah i found it a bit strange at first.. it felt a little silly, but the more i do it, the easier it is each time and it just seems to do something for me other techniques dont, of course its not a magic wand, but i just seem to feel more positive and sure of things after i've done it and things have a subtle way of working out better.
i can only imagine how much more effective it would be if done consistently
p.s i wouldn't worry about clowning around and laughing as when you think about it.. you're reflecting back an image of fun and laughter and happiness... it'll seep into the subconcious and improve your self image

Oh night eyes I haven't thought about it that way. It's a good point. I am often laughing, so I thought oh no, you are messing it up again, but why not smile and laugh to myself everyday

Exactly Little Miss.... Why not!
i always try to make sure if i'm around a mirror or doing this exercise that i try to look as happy and smiley as possible.. i think it promotes a positive mindset, and you can then go and present that to the rest of the world

i tell myself that i have a great relationship with money, that its drawn to me and i always have enough to meet my needs and live comfortably
