Rank Management

Note:

* All ranks general and special, their total number, titles, and the icon assigned to each, are fully customizable. [Up to Le Cafe members to decide.]

* The "Moderator" rank is a special/honorary rank and does not include the tools/permissions given to the Moderators Group members ("Full Moderators").

* The "Guest of Honor" rank is granted to Le Cafe special guests (celebs, authors, etc.), to all senior members (60+ years old), and upon nomination to any member whose appraisal is overall exceptionally positive (proactivity, loyalty, communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, ... etc.)

* More rules will be issued as the need arises. Apart from these brief guidelines, however, all rules and protocols concerning members nomination, upgrades, warning procedure or the management of the forum in general, all again are up to Le Cafe current and active members to suggest and decide.

 
 
Announcement: Upon your suggestion (thanks for a brilliant idea) two special ranks were just added:


For PLOA members already ranked Hero Member in PLOA. This is to finally answer the question of how to recognize and protect the status, stature and legacy of these members, still without having to face the challenges of Le Café Management (whose rules are not even set yet—still up, again, to the current and active members). In case any of the Founders was later chosen/elected as a Moderator (Full or Honorary), he or she will have to hold the Moderator rank.*



Temporary rank that will be circulated; given for only one week to the Top Poster of the previous week (upon weekly check on Friday/Sunday). Top Poster of the week, moreover, will also receive 30 points to her/his credit (and, unlike the rank, s/he will keep them). Moderators are excluded. Any other "special" rank, in case a Top Poster, will receive the credit, but will not change the current rank.**

* No longer in effect starting August 2015. Le Cafe, as of the 1st of August 2015, thus has in total seven Founders: Rodan, Adi, Posay, President Roosevelt, Kazoo, Lunareclipse and Love&Light (ordered according to the date of joining). Starting August 2015, the rank Founder will be granted by a majority decision from the Founders + Moderators Groups, to any member whose appraisal is overall exceptionally positive (proactivity, loyalty, communication skills, problem solving, conflict resolution, ... etc.); that is, instead of the Guest of Honor rank-3rd case.

** Members who achieve the Top Poster rank for four successive weeks, four in a row, will keep the rank permanently (unless promoted to either Founder or Moderator).
