The Journey
"The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.
The goal of the hero trip
down to the jewel point
is to find those levels of the psyche
that open, open, open
and finally open to the mystery
of your Self
being Buddha consciousness
or the Christ.
That's the journey."
- a nice food for thought quote I found from Joseph Campbell on the back of A Joseph Campbell Companion: Reflections On The Art of Living

Re: The Journey
Hi, Prez!
Nice quote. I have that book and didn't realize what was on the back. Most memorable from that book might be how he went into the woods and lived in solitude for so long, reading and reading. That was his bliss... interesting huh

Re: The Journey
Very nice quote indeed
Reading really is bliss though. I love getting so lost in a book that you just shut out all of your senses to your "real life" and get lost in another world. Lol, it could even be considered as "practice" of "living from the end"
