Wow, this is amazing! A while back a few of us had side conversation about starting a thread about finding your passion and then using your passion to create abundance!

No one actually got around to creating that thread tho. I actually even gave a post half hearted attempt but for some reason I couldn't complete all of my thoughts so I never finished it or posted. Now I know why! Because when the timing was right this thread would be delivered in perfect form!

Thanks so much MTC and PR! I am looking forward to reading the e-book!

It's funny you bumped this thread kazoo, because I was just thinking about abundance, and I was looking at the book again earlier today. Smile

I hope we can discuss some more.

What Am I Here To Do? Empty Re: What Am I Here To Do?

Post by moretocome Thu Dec 10, 2015 5:21 am

I truly appreciate all the kind comments!  I love you

The following is the first page in the book [It just goes to show you where I was (mentally) for many, many years].

What’s the deal God? Why am I so discontented? So bored? I feel apathetic. I just don’t care about anything. I hate work. It’s no challenge. It’s just a prison cell. No adventure. No passion. Just a daily grind. I dread work tomorrow. I know…..I should feel lucky and thankful for what I have. And I am, but I just feel empty. I feel tired, spent, just wanting to escape, sleep, or something.

Why do I feel this way? I have a wonderful family and a great life (if you look at it logically). I feel empty. Why? Why does it take such hard work, such toil, such struggle, just to get by every day? I’m exhausted. I could sleep for days.

When will we all be free? When can I stop struggling? When can I stop caring about anything? I know…..I’m venting. It feels good though. What’s the point of it all? Why me? Isn’t that what everyone asks of you? Why do I feel this way?

The following message (in the book) was something I truly never thought possible-

“Think how you’ll feel when you can do exactly what you want to, day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute. It’ll be a dream come true. You’re closer than you think.”

This has been my current reality for several years now. I am exceedingly grateful to our Divine Source (i.e. God, etc.).

It just goes to show you - If a stubborn, negative SOB (like me) can make the 'shift', anyone can. Smiley

What Am I Here To Do? Empty Re: What Am I Here To Do?

Post by Freya Mon Dec 14, 2015 7:30 am

I'd like to share something that has just particularly touched me from MTC's book.

An excerpt from Chapter 21 of What Am I Here To Do?

How do you know what your passion is?

You follow your feelings. If you don’t know what your feelings are, then you have buried them deep down within yourself. You’ll have to open up to your feelings once again in order to truly figure out what it is that you love to do.

If you know what you love to do, then do it. Don’t let others talk you out of it or belittle the thing that you love. You have to honor that feeling of love in order to be fulfilled in this life. Where do you think that love for something came from? God IS Love. So, that love of something is actually God working through you. It is the path that you should be following in order to not only achieve your purpose, but also your delight (passion) in life.

Why does pursuing your passion involve so many obstacles and challenges and oftentimes great persistence? For example, a person who loves acting often has to persist and struggle until he or she “makes it”. And I’m sure many don’t ever achieve their dreams. If it’s God-driven, why doesn’t pursuing one’s passion just come easily for the seeker?

In some cases it does come easily and naturally. In others, it doesn’t – it only comes through great persistence. The reason is that your passion is directly tied to your character. By character, I mean your deep-seated beliefs, your attitudes, your coping mechanisms, and so on. Some people must first convince THEMSELVES that it is possible to pursue their passions and become successful at them.

Look at you for example; you have turned your back on every feeling of passion you have ever had towards your life’s work. You’re still doing it. Your struggle is the direct result of you NOT letting go and letting God take over your life. In other words, you refuse to acknowledge your feelings, let alone follow them. Why are you doing this? Do you enjoy the pain and struggle?

No, I guess I just question my own feelings because they are “out there”, so to speak.

So if you have the feeling to do something outside the “norm”, like invent something new, you shouldn’t go with that feeling because it may not fit with what is “acceptable” to others and “societal norms”?

I see the point.

Thank you for starting this thread, PR. I've been reading a chapter or two at nighttime before sleeping. It gets me in a right state of mind before sleeping.

Thanks moretocome. I hope your book is widely available to reach as many people as it will help.

I'd like to come back and comment again after I've read it in its entirety.

I started by just journaling anywhere from 1 to 3 pages a day. This was years ago. Journaling is just writing down whatever comes to your mind. You write in a free-flowing way. You just let the words flow out and you write about whatever you want to.

It's quite helpful because you can later review what you wrote and it gives you great insight into your thoughts. It allows you to notice things that may go unnoticed without seeing your thoughts written down on paper. Thus, your Awareness can increase substantially.

Automatic writing just started to happen as I was journaling. I had so many questions I wanted answered so I just decided to write down questions (one at a time). Then, I just sort of relaxed and let the answers flow out onto paper (I used a pencil and paper, but it's whatever works for the person).

The key is to just let go, zone out a bit, and write with as little concentrated thought as possible. You only concentrate on what you've written after you're done writing. I believe anyone can do it with practice.

I suppose it's similar to channeling, however, you're not receiving the information from any particular entity or being.

To see a World in a Grain of Sand
And a Heaven in a Wild Flower,
Hold Infinity in the palm of your hand
And Eternity in an hour.

- William Blake

I've never tried to do actual automatic writing, but I firmly believe that it, or something like it, is firmly tied to many of the wonders of human creation. Some of the best stuff that is ever written derives not from the person's ego but from what is known as divine inspiration. I love you

To use one of the best-known examples I can think of, William Blake (1757-1827) was, quite literally, a "visionary" artist. When he was nine, he told his parents he'd seen angels in a tree, and later saw angels strolling through a field, alongside human workers. These visions never left him. All his life, he believed himself to be in direct communion with the divine.

And reading his poetry, it's hard to believe otherwise.

Blake also made several spiritual prophecies that are thought to be proof of his connection with the "other" world; it's certainly undeniable that he was a great mystic, and that his mysticism gave his poetry and paintings something very special.

Throughout the ages, poets and other artists have always spoken of inspiration, furor poeticus, divine ecstasy. I don't think that's a coincidence. They were tapping into the same source, whatever that source is. Smiley
