Just because i'm a mod doesn't mean i make the policies

i'm just asking politely for pressie to take them off as i find them offensive, there's a lot of animal lovers on the forums and not everyone wants to see things like that x

Then they shouldn't look at a thread called, "Dark, Beautiful, Morbid Things", should they?

Have you never dissected an animal Nine Eyes?

Shame, people don't realise how important it is to see the insides of things. If you love animals you oughta love their internal organs too. Razz 2

I'm with Nighty, that's disgusting, I don't see anything beautiful or funny about it.

No one said it was funny or beautiful, not even me... Rolling Eyes

But hey, I guess I've seen them already and they were meant for me, so PR can take them down for the ladies' sake.

Pressie,

You say there's no revenge on me and then you post zombie Audrey Hepburns and rotting animal corpses? Isn't that a little ironic?

I think we don't even need a new policy, I just double-checked the forum rules and there's one saying that offensive material will be taken down.

Would we post images of decomposing people? Well, alright, PR just did, but I'll admit that this is somehow less disturbing than the animals...less real somehow...and somehow it feels as if animals are always more helpless than us.

From a religious perspective, thinking about death is useful and these images shock us into remembering our own mortality. But there is a big difference between tasteful memento mori and gruesomeness.

The Pictures are gone... i'm all for having fun and a laugh on the forums but lets be mindful when we're posting pictures, they're a lot harder to ignore when reading the boards x

President Roosevelt wrote:Relax Selina, I was kidding. There's no revenge on you. (Why would there be? You take things too dramatically lol). No, the scene from Boardwalk Empire was about revenge and the roots of the modern American Mafia, since I know you're "warming up" to gangster films. Wink

Um, I'm mainly warming up to Al Pacino. Razz

Gawsh... love1

And I don't know, I thought the egg hunt? may have annoyed you? Very Happy Razz

Or the ballerina cookies...

...or the fact that I sent you a PM about you-know-who possibly being...

Sorry, sorry. Very Happy *curtseys*

And since this is the Dark, Beautiful thread...

...here is the real black swan:

(the black swan, Odile, enters at around 1:00)

I've never seen Black Swan but have seen real Swan Lake hundreds of times, both on stage and in film versions...actually I wanted to be a ballerina and trained for a while, but like Audrey Hepburn I ended up being too tall. Sad

---

P.S. I guess this thread is about horror, so Phanty may be horrified that Aronofsky's film isn't really all that accurate when it comes to the depiction of ballet ("crazy-a** ballet dancers" indeed!):

http://www.theguardian.com/stage/2011/jan/05/black-swan-natalie-portman-tamara-rojo

Elena Glurdjidze Principal dancer with English National Ballet:

So many scenes were exaggerated. And I didn't recognise anything about the ballet Swan Lake. When I was preparing for my first Odile [the Black Swan], I had a great dancer from the Mariinksy telling me that I had to be seductive like a cat, but it was all within the context of the choreography. Yes, you have to use you imagination to get into a role – but not like Nina.

Wink

P.P.S.

Meow.

hmmmm......has Night-Eyes been PMing someone?

Actually, I'm 50% Snape, 20% Dumbledore, and 30% Ron (which is 100% of my appetite, laziness, and love of Hermione).

Come to think of it, Posay reminds me a little of Ginny.....

Have you ever seen this movie? I didn't like it that much but it got Dan Craig to be James Bond. British gangsters, drug dealers, Serbian war criminals...a right fine mess.

Does Nine Eyes also think you're Dumbledore in disguise? lol
Actually I captioned the gif to you because I couldn't caption the chicken to Posay and leave poor Albus blank, it would've been asymmetrical. Cool I can't really silly the forum's dude on high like that and don't see rodan dancing either. So it had to be you. Sorry dude. Very Happy

Posay's popular with the guys like Ginny. And I guess Ginny has a fun enough personality, but I think Posay has Tonks' fun-ness.

I of course am Malfoy through and through.  Very Happy though every HP test I've ever taken has sorted me as a particular character I won't mention due to embarrassment.

Speaking of embarrassment when one of my friends had a HP 21st I went as McGonagall. Laughing I don't think I looked too convincing...too young really. looool though I slid an old pair of glasses down my nose! My friend went as Harry and she looked more convincing than me. Wink

I haven't seen that movie. The only thing I've seen Craig in other than Bond is The Golden Compass, which was a super disappointing letdown. Philip Pullman is, as far as fantasy authors who aren't dead yet go, a genius. They had good graphics for the time and Kidman made the perfect Mrs Coulter, but it was such a bland movie they didn't get the reactions they needed to film the next two parts of the HDM trilogy. A real shame. The books are so intricate and brilliant, they deserve to be filmed properly.

Mind you I didn't start to really accept the HP films till the last three, until then I had some gripes with the inaccuracies etc. It took me a long time to get used to Emma Watson's Hermione especially - I imagined her with much darker hair and a totally different face. By Azkaban though I was a big enough fan to add several of the people claiming to be Emma Watson on MSN in the hope that one of then might be the real one. Facepalm
